Triotek (Pty) Ltd is a proudly South African company that provides wholesale Wi-Fi platform services. Our mission is to deliver a white-labelled Wi-Fi platform to internet service providers and resellers, enabling them to offer branded, seamless connectivity solutions to their customers and partners.

What do you need?

To operate the platform at one of your venues, aside from being registered as a ​reseller on our platform, you will need the following:

A gateway (we prefer MikroTik)

An internet connection

An active subscription to our platform

There is some behind-the-scenes work that needs to be done, but not to worry, we ​will support you by offering training on configuring and setting up the gateway and ​Wi-Fi network.

Platform Types

We have 3 platform types to choose from

Guest Only

A Wi-Fi platform that allows ​visitors to access the internet at ​a venue after providing ​personal information and ​accepting terms of use and ​privacy policies.

Hospitality

A Wi-Fi platform requiring ​room number, surname, and ​email for access. It enforces ​customer rules, offers a Gue​st-only option, and users mu​st accept terms and priva​cy policie​s.

High-usage

This is a guest-only platform w​here over 500 visitors per d​ay or more than 10,000 v​isitors per month are a​uthenticated or expected to e​xceed these numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sure. We request customers to accept terms and conditions when they register. They need to opt-in to receive marketing messages from our platform.

We are a platform-as-a-services provider, this means we only provide you with a white-labelled platform that you can resell to your customer. We are not a service provider and we do not manage your customer's Wi-Fi network, you need to provide the managed Wi-Fi service self.

Easy peasy. The customer will enter your venue and connect their device to the Free Wi-Fi network. After they connect to the Wi-Fi their connection is redirected to our platform where they first need to register and authenticate themselves so they can connect to the internet. Depending on how you customise the venue's splash page, they will have to go through a series of questions, maybe watch an advertisement or two (or three) and then connect so that they can have full internet access.

Well, how long is a piece of string? This depends on your customer's needs. Some venues like to provide a 24 hour free Wi-Fi, others only want to give a customer 500mb of data. It all depends on your customer and you can easily customise each venue's free Wi-Fi allocation on our dashboard.

You need a few things before your end-users can connect to the internet at your venue. You first need a gateway, we recommend you use Mikrotik (Google it). You will need someone who is technically advanced to setup a gateway, but if you don't know how to, not to worry, we will assist you. You then need to create a venue on our platform and customise a splash page. Once the splash page is activated you will configure the gateway with the script we provide you with. You then connect the gateway to the internet, and voila! Your customers can start using the free Wi-Fi at your venue after they authenticate via the splash page.

Well there is no yes or no answer here. It all depends. We usually just sell to resellers such as service providers and network owners, because they own the customer and they already provide a managed network service to their customers. We enable these resellers and network owners to provide a Wi-Fi service to their customers via the platform-as-a-service. If you are a venue then you will have to procure the Wi-Fi service from one of our resellers. Alternatively if you are a business with a number of venues under your control that you would like to provide with the free Wi-Fi platform, then you can contact us to discuss your needs and we can probably help you out!

Yebo yes! You can download visitor information, provided that the visitor opted-in for you to receive their information. We follow strict rules and security measures to protect the private information of users of our platform.

Of course! Each venue can have a different look and feel and you can switch on and off certain sections of the splash page. Keep in mind that you will always need the visitor's mobile number, email and name, these are mandatory fields and cannot be switched on or off.

Yes, if you wish you can still broadcast a secure and closed Wi-Fi network in your venue, your visitor will just need the Wi-Fi's secret key to connect to the Wi-Fi. Our platform will also allow you to generate QR Codes which you can print on collateral which you can place inside the venue, which a visitor will scan with their device and the device will then auto-connect with the secure Wi-Fi network, so there is no need to share a password or secret key, a visitor will be able to connect him/herself without your help.

Yes, you can determine how many devices a visitor is allowed to connect with at your venue. If the limit is reached a notification will be showed to the visitor that the limit has been reached. You can easily change this in the dashboard and you can even manage the visitor inside the dashboard by removing and deleting devices registered for the visitor.

Well, this depends on how the venue's splash page is configured. As a minimum we collect each visitor's mobile number, email address, name and surname and the device type. Visitors can also provide details such as identification/passport numbers, student number, address, gender and age.
